Guppies are livebearers which means they do not lay eggs instead they give live birth like humans. When the female is pregnate look for a dark black spot under her (this is called a gravid spot). She will also get fat. Guppies tend to be small and the males are usually more colorful. Also another way to tell them apart is by looking under the fish for a small extension right near the anal fin. If there is that is a male. (This works with Swordtails, Mollies, and Platy's as well) They like temperatures in the mid 70's like most tropical fish and ph is usually around 7. They are omnivores so feed them a omnivore flakes. Also give them freeze dried bloodworms or shimp pellets.
