I have a little 2 gallon hex that I picked up from the thrift store for like 2 bucks. Currently, I have a dinner plate on top of it just so the fish doesn't jump out, but the thing has no lighting aside from the ambient room lighting. How could I cheaply light this thing and/or cover it?
For a cover that wasn't a dinner plate, I was thinking of getting some plastic window screen material and cutting that to fit the top, but that does nothing for the lighting![/ :/ :/](/images/smilies/ipb/confused.gif)
Here's a picture of the top, sans plate.
Any ideas?
