my sally lightfoot has eaten my 2 cleaner shrimp after being good for a long time so I want to get rid of him to prevent him from getting anything else so are there any ideas for catching a sally light foot I'm all ears. Dave
take a pop bottle. Cut the top off. Invert it. Stick it back together. Friction should hold it in place. Throw some food in it and sink it to the bottom. You may have to make the opening a little larger for the crab to fit in but it should make a decent trap. It may also take a couple tries as anything that can fit in to get the food could get caught.
I actually got lucky when i got rid of mine. I chased him to the sand with a big net and just picked up a lot of sand with him in it. Sally Lightfoots are great but mine started eating baby Serpent Stars. Hopefully netting him wont be too hard
