I need to get some crushed coral for my secret pal and want to make sure I don't get the wrong thing. Is coral sand the same thing as crushed coral? Thanks for your help!!!

No, why do you want to get him/her crushed coral? Its not the best thing for reefs TBH

I think she uses it in regards to her ph, again I'm not sure and obviously can't ask her. If I posted this in the wrong forum I'm sorry, I just assumed this was the right place cause I associated coral with salt water. This is why I posted, I have no clue what to get.

Well, if they dont have a tank up and running yet, I'd advise giving them aragonite sand as a substrate. Sand is WAY better than crushed coral since it wont trap detritus as easily. "Coral sand" is just finely crushed coral (think the size of thick grains of salt). Crushed coral is lots of small coral bits, the size of quarters, or whole GBP's. Either one will buffer the tank, but coral sand is much more desireable for saltwater applications, while crushed coral may be more beneficial to some buffered freshwater applications.
