need help with salt

Hi, I posted in the "oddball's" section and have no response yet. Maybe someone here can help me.

I am setting up a 5 gal brackish tank. I need to know if "Sea Salt" you buy at the grocery store is okay and how much to add to this tank?

I have been reading everything from"

1 Tsp per 5 gal
1 Tbsp per 5 gal
1 Tsp per gal

Help what is the ratio?

One puffer and two bumble bee gobies are to be put in this tank.

A true brackish tank has many more minerals dissolved than just salt, I dont think these would be fully supplemented with household sea salt.
I would visit a LFS to see what they can offer first.

Don't use salt for human consumption. if you want a brackish tank, then use marine salt. this is a little more expensive but will give you the ext best thing to natural sea water.

I agree, I almost got a marine tank once so I read a lot about how to set them up.
