Need Help With My Aqua One 980 Filter

Hi everyone, I'm Graham. I am in desperate search for an Aqua One 980 PowerHead for my filter as it is packing in on me and i am having no luck with any sites i check. Could anyone please give me any links or phone numbers of companies that may supply me with the right PowerHead.

I have the same tank and have just done a quick check too and I see what you mean. The only thing I can suggest is going on to the main dealer website http/www.aquaone.co.uk for the uk (don't know which country you are in), and going to the section which lists local stockists. In what manner is it packing up? How long has it been running for? Bit worried now

I have tried to find a stockist on that website but the closest one that it could find was Bents. However, i've been there and they don't have the item i'm looking for. Is there any other sites you could posibly recommend?

I turned off the filter while i was attempting to check the water and when i turned the filter back on, the power failed. I then attempted to see if i could fix the filter myself and I broke the seal off in order to get inside the filter and then put it back together again with super-glu lol. And, believe it or not the filter worked but the motor sounded strange at first but seems to be ok at the moment, but i need a brand new powerhead as i don't know how long the filter can keep it up.

Have you tried phoning the place you bought the tank from? They may stock spares or be able to get them on request.

Theres a certain place im after the Phone number of as i think they might have this spare part, however i've been on the internet and failed to find the phone number.

If anyone can help its Kong's (UK) Limited, if anyone could please get me the number of this place i will be much appreciated.

I think Kong (UK), Aqua One (& Aqua Pacific) are all part of the same organisation.......

Here is some info that may help you .........

AquaOne 980 Instruction Manual (PDF Doc) - You've proabaly already got this, but the second to last page refers to Kong (UK) Ltd, C/O Aqua Pacific UK Ltd and gives a UK address (In Romsey).

Aqua One's UK website contains the following 'About Us' information ....
"Aqua Pacific UK Ltd are a division of the Australia based group Kongs Australia PTY Ltd. Based in Romsey, Hampshire the company distributes the Aqua One range of aquarium products throughout the UK to the independent specialist aquatic trade."

I'd try giving them a call or send them an email, I'm sure they can help.
However if you have a LFS that stocks AquaOne tanks, they should be able to order something through their local rep.

I spoke to a local Aquaone dealer yesterday and he said he can get one if I need one but he doesn't do mail order so it would mean you picking it up. Let me know how you get on and good luck
