I bought a Fluval 204 today set it all up but it leaks from around the clips that join it together, I have checked the rubber seal loads of times I cant see anything wrong with it.

Is it faulty or am I doing something wrong?!

Sye,

Interested to know how you fixed the leak. I have a similar problem with one of my 104's and haven't yet managed to sort it out. Mine appears to be leaking from the motor housing - I think it might be the seal on the plunger used to prime it....

Cheers, Eddie

I found my leak(the rubber seal that joins the two peaces) by filling it up in the bath an watching for leaks, it took a good few hours before I got it water tight!

Try doing that and see if you have any joy.....

Thanks Sye, I am fairly sure that the leak is somewhere inside the motor housing rather than where it joins onto the bit that holds the filter media. I will have to keep trying - in the meain time I have replaced the unit with a spare and all seems OK.

Cheers, Eddie

If its the primer try putting a load of Vasaline around it.....
