I just recently picked up 2 200 Watt Ebo Jagers for my 75G.

I had thought that they were fully submersible but on the heater it says do not immerse past the water line?

The store i bought them from even said they were fully submersible.

Someone explain this to me please?

Hmm they werent cheap were they?

I think some of the older generation heaters could not be submersed fully, but all decent modern ones should.

For legal reasons of some sort they need to put that caution there, both my Ebo and tronic submersable heaters have a water level line on them.

Heater is the LAST place to skimp money on. I have been shocked many times, burnt holes in carpets... OK so you were born normal, and I'm a retard...

Take it back, say you were misled.. and get two of these.

There are a few different titanium brands...
These things will last forever and are much safer and easier to control.
It is WELL worth the money. I will never go back to glass.

Ebo Jager makes some of the highest quality aquarium heaters, actually, because Germany has such high safety standards (Ebo Jager is a German brand).

Most of the heater goes under the water, the only part that is above the water surface is the thermostat (I think thats the name of the part where you set what temperature you want your heater to be at -_- )

My Ebo Jager has the least flucuations of all my heaters. I use a 50W Ebo Jager in my 5 gallon and have not had any problems with it.

Ebo-Jager is the man, I don't care what anyone says....I am right. Ebo is the MAN!

I own 12 of them and they have NEVER let me down!!! :D

I was in the lfs yesterday heard somone asking the same question and the proprieter said thay can go under water.

Pretty silly if they cant really.

It's the same thing with Hagen powerheads.....they ARE submersible, but still have the line on them to "cover" the legality purposes....I mean, who wants a powerhead sticking 1/8" out of the top of the water? The little suction cup bracket isn't strong enough to hold it there anyway!!! :p
