Need Help With Aquarium

Hi all, i am getting back into aquariums. I just got one of my old tanks back from my uncle, and cant remember for the life of me how big it is. Its dimensions are 47.5" x 12" x x19.5 ". Can anyone please convert that to gallons for me. Also, my uncle was not using the tank, and it does not have the top or any of the other equipment. Can you guys brush me up on what i need and where would be a good place to look for equipment.

gravel,heater,filter a good one,externals are best....lights and a hood
water and fish
make sure you look up the fishless cycle and doe everything it says to do
