any idea.

Hmmm!!

First thing sounds like a copepod/amphipod Marine bugs. Try googling it. They are good! Will provide your future fish with a tasty snack!! Hopefully they breed nicely and in a year or so you could maybe get a mandarin or something!

Second - loads of worms! What did it look like? Colour, size, legs? reaction to light?? A peanut worm is most common but there are loads of different worms. Donya might be able to help you with that with a bit more info/photo.

Third. Looks like a skeleton of a LPS to me but it's hard to tell, I can't see it in the second photo. Is it soft of hard? Is it very green or light green / whitey green??

that was my first thought, but copepod's swim dont they, while these just craw on the rocks.

i am not sure how to describe it, but it is nearly whiteish about 1-1.5cm ish, it doesnt react to it, it just doesnt move it is like it is stuck to the rock

i havent felt it yet, will do that tomorrow. it is a light green colour.

Yeh they do swim, a bit (hmm how do i say this politically correctly) very strangely.. But yes they do, its a bit more like they flick through the water.

I'm not great with worms, hopefully Donya can help!! Did you google the peanut worm?

If its hard, i'd say a skeleton of an LPS with light algae staining it.. :good: If you can get a better picture then that would be great!

ill try

also spotted 1 others just now, a tiny shell, that went into a hole, probally a snail.

okay what i thought was a worm, was just a "thing" when i touched it it snapped, so it was not a worm after all.

the green thing is hard.

Yeh if it's hard I'd say an LPS skeleton. It was probably once an LPS coral, which has died and it leaves it's calcium skeleton.

The 'worm' thing!! Firstly a word of warning for future!! Don't poke it with your finger cos it could be poionous! :S I always forget to tell people that!!

I'd say that sounds like an anpiphod. Hard though without a picture!

so that is fine then?

it wasnt a worm after all  okay, wont poke anything that i dont no wat it is, didnt think

i would say that is it! :good: good or bad?

Right, i'm back!:) :D

Yeh just leave the skeleon, it wont do any harm, and can help with housing copepods, ampiphods etc.

Amphipods are GREAT. They're good guys. They eat bad stuff, left over food etc etc, and provide a natural food/snack to your fish! In a years time or so, you could get a mandarin, if the culture of pods are healthy enough, and you tank is big enough! Definately good guys!

The 'worm' thing or whatever it is doesnt matter, and i didnt mean that harshly but there are horror stories where people have squished things, or poked things and ended up in fevers and things from poisons. There was a story on here that was pinned but i cant find it!!

okay, thanks.
the mandarin are cool, not sure if there will be enough culture of pods as the other fish will probally get them before.

oh i know you didnt mean it harshly, okay wont do it again just incase. if you find the story give me a link
