need help on moving betta

I need to move Razzle Dazzle out of the tropical community tank and in to my room temp betta tank. he got caught on the filter in my juwel tank and i was mortified . Also when doing a water change on the betta tank do i treat the fresh water and get it to the same temp like with a tropical set up

Poor little guy! Getting stuck on the filter. Yikes.

Treat the fresh water with dechlor and, yes, get it to roughly the same temp as the water the Betta is already in.

Introduce him to the new tank in the same way you would a new fish from the lfs. Just float him for 15 mins or so and then add some tank water over the next half hour to acclimatise him.

I hope he enjoys his time in the new tank better without that big old filter to get stuck to
