Need Help Identifying A Cat Fish I Once Had.

I once had a couple of cats and i would like to know what they were.
They were brown with dark brown spots in my tank they got around 5-6 inches.
the rays on their dorsal fins were extended
they didn't really have scales they more like had smooth skin.
their general body shape was similar to a cory's.
(in fact when i got them i thought they were large cory's kind of forgot the name when i got home)

Maybe a spotted pleco of some sort

no don't think so. think giant brown cory with dark brown spots smooth skin, and extended rays on the dorsal.

couldve been a hoplo, did their pectoral fins have orange front edges?

no orange but i found a random picture of it. I love google images

That is, I believe, a featherfin synodontis.

African feather fin catfish go to petsmart.com and go to live fish then go to the 3 page and u will find it

I think it is a hoplo catfish from what i know look at hoplo catfish on google you will see if it is right.
