I bought a 55 gallon tnak a few weeks ago and I decided to plant it before putting fish in it. I want the tank to be covered in plants. Like the backside like 2 inches thik . And just plants everywhere. I was wondering what plants can live in p.h. 7.5 and temp 75. I want alot of veriety. I want the tank just to be beautiful. I need a basic guide start to finish. Well please help and thanks for help.

What kind of lighting do you have first of all? That will determine what kind of plants you can keep, its more important than pH or temp... Without answering that question, we can't help you out a lot I'm afraid....

Each light has 15 watts and there are 2 of them(edit). If that is to small I can buy a better one.

That would be a very low light tank - andyou would be severely limited with plant choices.

I would suggest trying to get at least 100 watts over the tank as you would then have at least a fair shot at growing most plants.

Yeh 30w over a 55g tank is hardly any. If you can I would aim for around 1.5WPG (ie 75ish w in total), then you could grow anubias, java fern, java moss, some crypts and some swords :)

Just out of interest, are these the lights that can with the tank, a 55g tank has to be around 4' long? Thats a very odd lighting rig to come with a tank tank size?
