Hi guys!

I have a Fluval Venezia 190L tank. I am currently using the fluval filter that cam with it, my problem is that the fitlter connects to pipes in the bottom of the tank and the tubing is held on by the tubes and metal clips, which im guessing will eventually work loose and I don't fancy having 190L of fishy tank water over my carpet i have only had for 3 month!

I am wanting an external filter which the pipes can go in from the top of the tank down instead of up through the bottom of the tank. Ive heard good things about eheim filters, i need a solution to this as its starting to worry me a bit.

Please help with some suggestions...

Kind Regards,
Dan

I have had two fluval tanks with the connections through the base of the tank.
I thi k it's a great system and if set up properly It shouldn't leak.
If the worst did happen it would only drain to the top of the intake tube, still a huge spillage, but the fish should be ok.

If you hook up the filter via over the top pipes you still run the risk of a huge spill due to the syphon effect.

I would just check that you set it up properly and relax :)
