I'm looking for a smallish betta tank, but I haven't had too much luck. I like the setup on the Lee's divided tanks, but they're too small. Didn't find anything I liked on aquabid either.

Any recommendations? I'd like something with at least 1 gallon per betta. Or maybe dividers that have a removable screen so bettas aren't flaring all day.

PS - has anybody tried keeping FW bumblebee gobies with a betta?

How about those 2.5 gallon tanks they sell at Petland Discounts? Theere are optional glass dividers that divide it into a 3-way tank. This is what mine used to look like:

Thanks IBB. Do those heat via the light?

I do have an old 2.5, but no hood. There might also be a crack in it :/

My problem with some of these small tanks is that it's tough to heat them and fit a hood. Unfortunately I like it kind of cool in the house, so the fish need heaters. Anybody have good luck with the minibow? Kinda expensive, but I'm thinking about one of those.

And if anybody has tried the BBG's with the bettas pls let me know. I think those little guys look hella cool, but my community tank is overstocked.

Noelberg,

I set up a 2.5 gal tank for my bettas last weekend. The glass dividers didn't fit properly and Otis kept sneaking through. So I made dividers for just under $5.00 (following Freshwatergals method, and thanks to Heathers help.)

For a lid that would accomodate a heater, I bought a piece of acrylic from Home Depot for $1.97 and had them cut a square hole on 1 side. It works perfectly! Takes a little extra effort but you can save money and make the tank work.

haha great stuff - thanks guys! This looks like a good chance for some DIY fun.

I can't make up my mind now! I'm also thinking about getting either a 10 or 20 g and making a few partitions so I can keep bettas and killis without going for a multitank setup. I've been bitten with the killi bug for a while, but it's really bad now that I got that last issue of TFH!!!! Love those colorful killis! Then i'll just use the 2.5 for fry when I get the big partitioned tank.

me three! I want that tank for mothers day, but I can't find it! Is it bowed in the front? because I don't think the lids are. will any 2.5 gal tank do? maybe someone else sells them???Hehe, I can't wait until the ninth :D I know just the three I want in it too :D betta imbellis, golden double tail, and butterfly cambodian combtail. Now if only I could find them. One thing at a time :)

They have the tank at Petco, with the dividers for $40.00. I bought my 2.5 gal for $9.99 from PetSmart and made the dividers for $5.00.

Here is a link to thatpetplace.com, with a 2.5 gal for $7.49. I'm not sure if they ship though, you might want to call them.

Rollntider, here is the link to the light for 2.5 gal at PetSmart. I just bought me one too! :D
