offer overnight....anyone know another online store that does??

Well, I was going to suggest that you'd be better off buying locally than paying for overnight shipping, but I assume that Miserable Wells, Texas, is a bit off the beaten path when it comes to buying aquarium supplies.

I've been using www.petguys.com. They don't typically offer overnight shipping, but it might be worth asking if they'll make an exception. When I had a problem with shipping recently, they offered to work with me on it.

I can pay overnight shipping for what it cost me in gas money to go to the LFS to get supplies that are ALMOST DOUBLED the price.....so I feel like I am still getting a bargain.....and I didn't have to drag the 6 kids along and do the McD's thing....you know.....I went with Drs Fosters Smith...will have my stuff tomorrow.

That alone saves you $25 or $30!

I know what you mean about high mark-ups. They're even more painful up here in Alaska. I recently bought a Powerhead 402 for less than $19 online. Here in Anchorage, it was $45. Even with a few dollars for priority shipping, I saved a lot of money.

I also order all my bicycle components online. I've heard all the arguments for supporting local stores and I'd be more willing to do so if they would at least provide the one thing they COULD give that mail order and online companies can't -- good advice and personal service. Instead, I usually get slow service and inconsistent advice when I enter the shop.
