Hello - I just got a new (used) tank....I forgot to measure the heigth when I went to check it out. It is 48" x 18" x ? which makes it either a 75 or 90 gal. I need to buy a heater for it, so opinions are needed. What wattage should I go with?
I heard 5W per gallon, but I cannot find any 450 watt heaters...just 350 watt and 1000 watt. Also, some heaters say they work for large tanks, but according to the wattage, they shouldn't.
I was going to get one off of ebay as they seem so much cheaper than the lfs I have checked. Would you go with titanium? I don't need a top of the line one, just reliable.
