Near 3Ft Fire Eel

Hi everyone. I have a near 3ft Fire eel...he/she is lovely what a beast and a conversation starter.

I think its time I let him move on to maybe a bigger tank, and was wondering what a near 3ft fire eel
is worth?

Any ideas?

Its hard to put a value on as from a private seller they go for a variety of proces on teh classified ads , Pier for example sold fire eels at about30 inch for £145 last year but from scanning the ads all the time I thought that was steep

Be worth what someones willing to pay, personal i'd pay about 60-80 for it but thats because althought they're a really nice fish not my main type of fish, if you get somone who's well into their eels and monster fish you might get somone paying more.

If you do come to sell if i were you id' offer postage as it'll sell a lot better. Me to drive to Derbyshire and back would cost me near on 70£ in Fuel where as postage would be £25 makes it alot more sellable!

The tank he's in now is a 6ft x 2.5 x 2.

He needs something bigger and in light of a house move coming up, im thinking about letting him go.
