Ok i have oficial become obsessed with getting a nancube after reaserching it for a little while and looking at your awsome pictures. I have decided to get either a 12 gallon nanocube delux or a 12 gallon nano cube deluxe( any sugestions on which would be easier or better or if there is any other brand of tank thats better)

-First Question for you guys is if i buy a nanocube is there any equitment that is not included in the nanocube that i will have to buy seperatly?

-Second question Anyone who has a finished nano cube(around 12-24 gallons) how much did you end up paying for everything when it was all said and done.

-How long does it take to cycle a tank

-Last Question is Anyone have any suggestions for anemonies or fish for a tank of this size?

Thanks for any advice
Nate

Anyone??

I've heard that some parts of the nano cubes need upgrading such as lights for keeping corals and pumps that come with them but I don't have a nano so I don't know 2 much just throwing stuff I've read about on here.

Nate...scroll down the the list here under the nano section and click on one of the two 24G NC threads...although they are larger in volume, the threads will probably answer a lot of your questions. Then narrow it down a bit and post your specifics. SH

Nate,

Steelhealr is right, read the threads he referred to.

In the mean time, I think you better be prepared for costs. I have the 24Gallon NanoCube DX and I did upgrade the lights and added a PH and 2 hydorflo's. With what I have invested in tank, upgrades, rock, livesand, corals and fish... are you sitting down. It's over 700.00 and still going up.

And I went the cheap routes with alot of items. But such is life and you can't take it with you. Many others have spent MUCH more than I have and 700.00 may be conservative too.

This is not a hobby for someone on a limited budget, unless you have good friends in the hobby or great connections.

don't want to burst any bubbles but it is not a cheap endeavour.

I actually think it is easier to have a successful tank with a limited budget because it forces you to take your time and go slow. Also you research ten times as much to determine if that newwest fad is worth the cost. But definately be prepared to spend some money by the time its done.
