Nano

Howdy,

Right first of all this is probably a stupid question but WHAT IS A NANO TANK?

I love looking at the pics of some of these "nano" tanks but can't figure out why they are called that.

Is there competitions on the design of them? (I loved the golf course one!!!)

Is there rules to making it a nano??

Can you do it with normal fish or is the challenge doing it with marine?

I know its stupid and i'm sure a lot of people will snigger at this one!!! hehe I don't care though!!

Heh, well a Nano tank is a term used to describe saltwater tanks 30gallons and smaller in capacity. The term "nano" is not usually used to describe freshwater tanks. Marine tanks are generally more costly and more difficult to setup than freshwater tanks of the same capacity. There are freshwaters and I think the term 'nano' is being used more often in freshwater now. The gold course one you was was freshwater.
