hello everyone, thank you for reading this and any help is thanked in advance.

well the title says it all. i'm on the verge of deciding weather i should get a nano reef and i came for some advice.
i am interested in getting a 20gallon tank in which i can house some Live rock and corals with live sand.

ill start with my plan,
i would like a 20gallon, mechanical filtration, skimming, chemical filtration, Most of the filtration i would like to be done by the live rock or should i just use media in a filter?.
i decided to plan early on so i can get the best tank possiable (and my mum said i cant have another tank for 2 years) so i decided to get going and plan so in two years i know exactly what i need to do and how to keep every thing healthy.
the fish stocking would be light with maybe a few small fish but i would like some iinvertebrates such as hermits (and do you just but new bigger shells for them when they start to grow out of them?)

so now your recommendations.
Skimming?
Filtration? how much and what type
Lighting? what wattage
Heating?
corals? what type are good hardy and look nice
Fish? Preferiably hardy(ish) are clown fish good?
Inverts?
water turnover? (power heads)
How much live rock (KG)

i am currently reading This to help me.

Can Clown fish live without an anemone or should i have one, however i would like hardy corals due to me being un educated (at this point) and don't want to end up killing a beautiful Coral that could of been home to a small fish or Clown fish.

heres a rough plan of what the tank might consist of

and the water flow and mechanical filtration (not got all the Live rock and corals in this Picture, if required i can re make it)

and the skimmer position (note the colection cup was not added out of the water, it will be in the real thing)

And now Lighting. what wattag should i use?

everything combined (and i do know that i was no spercific on the coral types after the first picture)

should the skimmer be a hang on skimmer?

thankyou for reading and thankyou for any advice
shang hi
