As my last rabbit passed away we didn't want our other rabbit Lottie to be alone, so we decided to get another rabbit from the rescue centre
When they found her she was a stray, and when they brought her back they named her nightshade.....which i would like to rename her as the names a bit too long for me
She is very friendly, and loves attention, she has to be kept in a run at the moment, as she was neutered we want her belly to heal up :)
Its been a week and i still can't think of a name :(
This is the only picture i've got at the moment...

Dana (pronounced Day-ner) or Dinah (pronounced either Die-ner or Dee-ner, depending on your preference. She looks like a D name though :)

If I had a rabbit, I would name it Krumpet. Like Crumpet, but with a K. I've always loved the name

She's very cute!

Nightshade very easily becomes a Shadow :)

But i also love the names from Watership Down like:

Hazel
Holly
Fiver
BigWig (i had a lionhead named BigWig lol)
Blackberry
Dandelion
Pipkin
Buckthorn
Hawkbit
Speedwell
Acorn
Willow
Celandine
Threarah/Rowan (I really like Rowan for her!)
Nightshade (is a watership down name too! its all linked!)
Celandine
Clover
Laurel (nicename, unusual too!)
Betony
Vervain
Thunder

I cant remember any more names and a few i had to get off the back of the old video box behind me LOL but Richard Adams is a brilliant author and as nightshade is already a character... coud be cool!!

That said, i have had a Bugsy and a Spring the lops and my housemate and i got Black Otter Rex sisters (black with tan belly and inner ears) and my housemate named hers Fen (short for Fennel) and i went through herb books to find one i liked and it took ages but i named my girl Henna.

I love using tree/plant/herb/flower names for animals :) particulaly hate names like 'fluffy' and 'toffee' etc!!

awww i remember that film :)
Wow, i would love some of those one day, a black otter and blue otter probably :)

I loved that film as a child :) still do to be fair. Been years since I read it though. Think it may have just jumped to the top of the list if books to read come October!

How about calling her Catherine or Kate, in honour of our future queen (if it interests you)! :hyper:

Shady :D

No in all seriousness I like the watership down ideas, especially Vervain or herby names.

She looks like a dominant rabbit though so I'd choose a strong name :)

Yea we found that with Fen and Henna, Henna was such a dominant girl, i was looking at all the names like dill and rosemary and thyme etc but they didnt have that punchy sound. Henna was a bit of a oddball name really, had a huge OLD like... really old book of herbs and Henna was in it. Punchy name.

We are introducing her to our other rabbit tomorrow, we couldn't introduce them before as we wanted her tummy to heal from the operation.

Henna is a lovely name :D

Just remembered, our rabbits were called Hazel and Pipkin :):):)

Good luck today, maybe put harnesses on both of them so you can just pick them up if it gets nasty, hope it doesnt though!

Nice bunny :D
Last breeding season with the piggys all the young had botanical names I love my plants so its all good haha

I also like poppy, blossom, and weirdly sweet pea at the moment

regards scot :)
