nitro
bugabo
cap. red legs
crimson
what r u guyses fave betta names

I've taken to naming mine after alcohol or alcoholic drinks, being that I spend my money on fish instead of alcohol! It's like my own little substitute. A great site for name ideas like that is Drinks Mixer, which is where I get all of my betta names from.

So far the names I've picked for my males are:
  • Captain Morgan -- rum!
  • Mai Tai -- mixed drink
  • Prince Igor -- cheap vodka
  • Bluebeard -- crazy drink
  • Blueballs -- another crazy drink
Though I do have two unnamed right now..

Also, www.aquariumfish.net has a list at the bottom of the left menu for fish names, which can be helpful.

margreata
daqui
i also like fruit names
blueberry
strawberry
blackberry
stuff like that its wierd that i only have 1 betta but im gettin mor soon!!!!!

I like to give all my animals names of old hairy guys (or at least names I'd picture guys like that HAVING) Here are some examples:

Harold
Ralph
Stanley (my first guinea pig)
Oliver (my second guinea pig)
Archibald (Archie) (my 3rd betta)
Harvey (my 2nd betta)
Amos (my 1st betta)
Jasper (my 4th betta)
Oscar (I think it'd be ironic to name a betta "Oscar)
Theodore
Rueben (i LOVE this name)
Ron
Grover (particularly if he's blue!)
Cricket (I have no idea why, it's just cute)
Roger (my dad's name :) )
Russell (my grampa's name)
Bernard (my other grampa's name)

That's all I can think of now ;)

i don't name mine too many but i need to see a fish to name him, then you know what to call them.......like you wouldn't call a blue Betta RED....... well someone who is colour blind might you know what i mean though

When I was thinking of names for my betta, I looked for famous historical figures. as a result, my boy's name is Uther Pendragon  , after King Arthur's father. Other names I came across:

Redbad- an eighth century Frisian (germanic) warlord
Robert the Bruce- one of the liberators of Scotland (think Braveheart)
Alexander (the Great)
Archimedes
Napoleon
Wellington

etc, etc... basically any famous dead person with a cool name. B)

I've nicknamed two of our pairs; we have:

Stevie & Lyndsey (after Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Lyndsey Buckingham)
Johnny & Mary (from the song)

My wife named all of our.

Seventies - he is multicolored, looks tie dyed/pschycodelic (but definitely not painted)
Clark - after Clark W. Griswold III from Vacation movies fame
Ty - after Ty Webb of Caddy Shack fame

As you can see, we have a warped sense of humor when it comes to movies (and fish names).

BOB
Captain Under -Pants

and one more (Dan would be proud) Syphilus
Ahh, good to hear. Miagi finally has syphilis.

I think we could all use a little syphilis, just to lighten up the stress load.

Mine are named after beer,

Rickard
Moose II (Moose the first passed away  )

Hannibal. Hey, I didn't think of it, but its through lack of a better name. TBH, I never call any of my pets by their names anyway. EG- its not Hatty (my bunny), its Hatty Hopkins. Or Bun. Or Hopsicle.

Its not Bobbie (one of my cats). Its Baby. Or Babe. Or Bubby. Or Bubs. Or Gorgeous.

I'm not mad. I'm just a carol singing, world dominating goblin. :sly: :grr: And don't you.... Ooh! A shiny thing! Wheeee..........

I thought of a GREAT fish name.

FRANK

My next betta will be Frank.
I'm going to put some of my scrapbooking stickers on the front of his tank. It will say:

"FRANK'S TANK"

tee hee hee
