Thanks for the name and info on the speciesThe fish is Aphyocharax rathbuni. A shoaling species, it needs at least 10-12 but cannot be recommended for many community aquariums. It has a well-deserved reputation as a fin nipper, and must never be housed with long-fin or sedate fish (gourami, cichlids, and so forth). In a decent sized group it will work with other active swimmers (most of the common danios for example, some of the barbs, a few of the tetras). With less active and non-boisterous species, it can become a real terror. All species in this genus share this unfortunate trait.
