Mystery Snail

Does anybody know if the mystery snails in my lfs are really there? Ok all I see is the shells on the gravel but no snails in them. Are they just hiding or are they dead and they are just shells? Thanks

if they look empty they probably are - don't buy a snail unless you see it moving.
