well my black mystery snails finally layed eggs, i have trying to get them to lay them for a while so i could sell off the kids. anyone have any advice on taking care of thee little guys? anything would be helpful.

Leave the tank lights on for a bit longer each day. This will encourage algae and the baby snails will feed on that. They will also feed on any fish food that is in the tank. However, don't add extra food because it can cause ammonia and nitrite spikes that can adversely affect the fish. Baby snails are pretty tough and usually grow up in the tank without too much help.

i guess i should pull out the nitria snail. should i pull out the adults too?

the adult mystery snails can stay with the eggs and young and don't eat them. I don't know anything about nitria snails so can't comment. However, if they are a predatory snail then they will probably eat the eggs if they can get them.

no nitrinas are true algae eaters, two will clean the tank of any and all algae, not a good thing when babies need that to grow.
i was reading on a site that the babies will crawl into the adults shells and irritate them is that true?

never heard of them doing that. The snail's foot tends to fill up the entire opening of the shell so it would be pretty hard for a baby snail to crawl up between the foot and the shell and get inside the shell.
