Mystery Fish

hi folks,

a friend of mine picked up this little fella over the weekend, i have a feeling it wont stay little for too long,i could get any pictures so i can only give a description. its about 3"long and has a round face similar to a rope fish and its markings are a mixture of green and brown vertical lines on the side of its body, i think it may be some sort of goby but this fella has a sucker on its belly and it uses it to attach its self to the glass, hopefully this will help someone with and id and any possible links to info about it.

not a Chinese Algae Eater or Garra Sp. ???

its not either of them but the markings of the chinese algae eater would be similar except on this fish the markings are brighter, my mate thinks it has a head like a dinosaur, ther is no anal fin from what he has told me, the shape of the body he thinks is similar to a mud skipper,

i have told him to try and get a picture to me but the thing keeps moving away,

some kind of Bichir? delhezi or palmas?
blockhead cichlid?

Its a KInd of Goby I think. Does it have a Black Line going vertically thru its eyes.
I think they are called ........ Rock Gobies, canlt remember the 1st bit.

i have managed to add a photo of the fish to my avater, most photoweb pages in work are blocked,
its very similar to this fish http/www.glaucus.org.uk/rockgoby.htm
but the lfs said it was african.

it looks very much like the top one except my mates colours are more defined and darker.

are you gonna solve the mystery for me ha ha
