holidayfish.jpg

got 3 more, and a small black and white one too

it looks goby like, but i dont think it is. where did ya get it?

yup goby not sure what kind but they are not native to where i live at least and are a real problem. They eat the baby bass which dystroys the food chain, and are not that fun to catch:(

yeah, they can be caught easily if you fish the bottom as they hide in the rocks and plants. yeah i find it more fun to real in something a bit bigger. !!!!!!!

i used to catch these things all the time in rock pools and stuff. they have teeth and i beleive they grow into these;

but i may be wrong. i know they do have teeth though! they're a pest to fishermen trying to catch flat fish too.

who knows what they turn into!!! much more fun to catch the big one tho!! they are ugly fish as well!

i think it's kind of cute but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :lol:

haha, a trip to specsavers? :lol: :hyper: when you fish for them they take the hook right down. pest in my opinion.

I would say it's a blenny rather than a goby but without seeing the pelvic fins it is hard to say. The pelvic fins on gobies are fused together to form one fin, whereas blennies have separate pelvic fins.
Blennies and gobies are found all over the world and make great tank mates for most fish tanks. They settle in well and eat most things offered. They tolerate a wide range in temperatures and often breed in the aquarium.

i re released them
they are wild why keep them in a manmade environment ? its sort of cruel
found them under some rocks in rockpools. caught them with my hands they arent hard to catch =P
i thought they were some sort of goby/blenny
