Tell me if this group of fish would work
White Cloud Minnows
Yo-yo loaches
rams
red eyed tetra
head and tail light tetra
angelfish
Guppy
neon tetras

Also I wondered what oxygenated plants were, they sell them in a lfs for 60p, with long leaves on them

whats the size of ur aquarium because a angel is going to need ata least a 20

Angels and neons can be questionable. Some people have luck while others lose all of their neons to thier natural predator the angelfish.

I find if you add the neons and YOUNG angels at the same time you are less likely to have an issue with this combination. However, Angels will be angels  :shifty: and if any of the neons remain small then ...

a 20 just for the angelfish??
I would say more than 20galls to be honest. I have a 19US and I can't imagine one of my full grown angels in there. :X

Angels get big, especially their fins and need tanks that are at least 18" tall.

:)

I'd say more than a 20 gal too. I've kept my pair in a 34 gal so far, but that's not enough. Mainly because the tank is not tall enough. A new 20 inch tall 53 gal is arriving for my angels next month and I think that's a good size, because then you can get a nice community of other fish with them too.

I suppose it has turned out quite cool because i can't find angelfish
there are some chocolate gourami's at the lfs that i like the look of
there were some algea eaters for £1.99
Neons 6 for £4.68
corydoras for i think £2.40
they were all quite cheap really
also I have found out the make of one of the tanks
It is a 15 or 16 gallon tank from pets at home, the make is rena. It comes with a pump, artificial plants, lighting 15 watts, filter (just said rena filter) gravel, fish food, book on keeping tropical fish, fry net and some other stuff. WORTH IT??

Well, how much was it?!

silly me
It's £59.99
Still ....WORTH IT ??

16UK gallons is going to limit you in your selection somewhat. Taking a look at your wishlist:

White Cloud Minnows
Yo-yo loaches
rams
red eyed tetra
head and tail light tetra
angelfish
Guppy
neon tetras

The angels are out. I'd skip on the guppies too if you can.

Even after that, you've got to choose pretty much just one of the schooling fish.

That leaves you with:

Yo-yo loaches x 4
rams x 2
one schooling species x 6

That's about as much as you should even consider. And is still probably not the best idea. What are the dimensions of the tank?

Hmmm, I dunno to be honest. It might be considering what you get with it but only just.

I am looking to get a tank from Tri-mar in the near future and they are doing a 23UK (18" high ;)) tank with everything for £87 I think. If you looked around I think you could get bigger.

How about going second hand? I got 2 of my tanks like that from eBay, or try Aquariust Classifieds or Ad-Trader

I think you could get a much bigger tank for your money if you looked around but it depends what you are after.
