My White Fish Is Turning Red!

This is Pearl. i bought him for my mum in Febuary, he was an all white fish except for the black on his gill plates. This photo was taken in May.

this photo was taken today.

Is it just his colouring? or is this something i should be worrying about?

Nah just the red gene kicking in, same happened to a fish I had that was very light and as he got older blues and reds started to appear.

I was hoping that was the case. Hes a happy fiesty critta, though i do wonder about his eye sight, he sometimes cant find his food and flairs at any thing that moves including the plants.
