My 2 two tetras like shake their tails/back end of body against each other, what does this mean?

what kind of tetra are they?, probably what they do when mating, or displaying to eachother, i have fish that do it too :) lamb chop rasboras, they come close to each other start shaking and flicking their fins and then rub against eachother, then swim all round the tank together, but they dont actually breed because my water isnt right for them :p

Not a r8 good pic like but, and what tempreture does te water have to be?

Looks more like a lambchop rasbora to me, definitely not a tetra.

The behaviour you describe is perfectly normal and common.

I keep my harlequin rasboras at 24c.

Mine are at 25, it still amazes me how they turn a really strong red when there ready to breed.

Gorgeous isn't it? I have two males in the group and they look like a different species when they spend a day or two a deep copper.

I thought something was wrong first time i saw it, esp the size the females reach full of eggs. Look like they will pop.

All the other fish know whats coming though they wait underneath them ready, so i'm never going to see eggs.

stunning little fish :) wish i could actually get mine to breed, they do seem to go really deep reddy orange though just never seem to see any eggs about :p lol
