My Tetra Aqua Art Light Unit Has Failed

as the title says my unit etc in my tetra aqua art has fail and need to source another way of lighting it, as a complete novice i do need step by step help

Hi there, is the tank still under warranty? Are you sure it has failed and not just the bulb(s)? Is the tank planted?

if not then you can buy a strip of LED lights on ebay for about £10

Could just be a faulty starter or tube, both are quite cheap to replace.

no the tank is about 2 year old so unfortunatly not. it is the whole unit and when tested it went bang and blew all my electris. I will have to fit a new system.
I have live plants in at the moment yes

Contact TetraTEC mate, should be a 3year warranty. They have excellent customer care. Worth a go mate, you won't lose anything.

Just a quick update I contacted and nothing happened so off I went and ordered one from a stockest only to get it home and it stay on for 10 mins max then go off so went back to them and get another off them only for that one to last 1 day so not a happy bunny in the end my tank has no light so bought another tank a 60l one but want to keep the other tank running too so do you think I should just put in another lighting unit etc

If it's not planted mate then go for some LED strips from ebay. About a tenner and that would get you a 3-4ft strip with power.
