I pretty much only use forums to ask questions, so I thought I’d actually share my aquarium this time! first set this up in the middle of February, and got Gilbert the betta fish about a month ago. This is my first aquarium and the journey of watching this ecosystem grow has been (and i’m sure will continue to be) incredibly rewarding. I recently got nilocg thrive fertilizer, and since then my plants (especially floating plants) have been flourishing. plants are: crypt wendtii, multiple anubias barteri, anubias nana, java ferns, trident java ferns, dwarf sag, ludwigia, brazilian pennywort, frogbit, salvinia minima, and red root floaters. Gilbert’s colors have come out so much since I got him, and his fins grew twice their size! I love coming home to see new growth on the plants, feeding gilbert, and watching the little copepods/detritivores swimming around the decaying almond leaves

i hope to re-make my sort of neglected betta tank...
oh yeah remember to not get duckweed, it will swallow your red root floaters
had like a huge chunk before, now it is 3 baby leaves in a bag in the tank
