I could NOT pass up the 125 gallon. I got it from someone who was trying to get rid of it and she sold it to me for $300---stand and all equipment included (I have since replaced the heaters and gravel though)

I don't know how you handle gravel that bright!
I had white sand and I had to change to normal playsand afetr a while because it was way too bright!

You got way lucky on that tank though, so jealous! I only have a tiny little 16 gallon, cant wait till I get a job!
Why don't you replace the plastic plants with real?

Well the ten gallon tanks were clean setups....still havent had time to age enough to tone down the gravel. I let my daughter pick the gravel for her tank and had enough left over so I used that in the other 10 gallon as well.

The 125 had a gravel change as the old gravel was just too large for my taste.

I do like brighter substrates though. I used to do all my tanks with natural colored stone. I like both. :shifty:

Real plants are under heavy consideration. I have never had real plants. I am learning what all is required before I go buy plants and kill them from lack of knowledge.

I've always preferred natural coloured substartes, but obviously people like it or it wouldnt be bought! I wasn't sayin it doesn't look nice, just not to my taste :)

And real plants are always good IMO, as long as you don't get sold non aquatic ones off eBay like a certain idiot here :(

Wow what a bargain on your huge tank! :) well done on that they all look really nicely setup tbh whats your stock list in each? :D

The 125 changed in the last day and a half. I had convicts in there but wanted to breed freshwater angels in it. I rehomed the convicts and put 8 juvenile angelfish in it to let them pair off later down the line. The irony there was once I added the angels I then took a close look in the tank and saw a ton of convict fry swimming around. They won't last though--as the angels will eat them and if they dont get eaten there is really no food for a baby convict to eat in there.

In my 29 gallon I have 4 white clouds, 6 rummynose tetras and a chinese algae eater. I am aware of the issues with chinese algae eaters as they age. Hopefully he will remain well fed enough to not become bothersome. If he does become a problem he will also be rehomed.

My daughter's 10 gallon has an opaline gourami in it. She doesn't want anything else in there with it at the moment.

My other 10 gallon is set up for future newborn angelfish fry. I also have a 29 gallon that is not set up yet. It needs a stand, a heater, and a filter yet. It will soon be cleaned up and I will use that as a growing tank for the angels. It won't be an attractive tank I am sure. But it will serve its purpose quite well. I may set that one up in my room.

I always have some aquatic plan cooking here
