over the last 48hrs my tank as turned green, have i got an algea problem starting..? if so what do i do..? ive already changed 25% of the water but it hasn't made much or any difference...,the tank as been running now for over 3 month's and the fish i have seem settled..ALL HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.....

Ammonia is the main cause of this type of algae. You'll need to do a bigger water change, then a 3 day blackout of the tank.

Sounds like you have a free-floating algae problem. How much light does the tank receive and for how long? The best method that I have found for eliminating green water is to do a full tank blackout. Cover the outside of the tank with some heavy cardboard such that no light gets in and leave the tank lights out for the next 5-7 days. This should take care of your green water problem pretty effectively.
