Looks good. I think the fern you have in the middle of the tank is not actually aquatic and will not grow under water in the long term (someone who knows better then me will confirm :) ). I was actually looking at the same plant in my LFS but I'm sure I saw on another journal the same plant and they where told it was non-aquatic.

 oh i hope it isnt...oh well ill research and if it isnt then it doesnt matter, ive recently planted more bulbs and they are already starting to grow so that space will be replaced:)

What is the green stem plant on the far right? I like that. Is it easy to grow?

sorry i cant actually remember! but in my lfs they are over run with it! and yes its easy to care for but it needs plenty of light otherwise ive found it goes a yellowy colour. i used a liquid fertilisor to make it grow nice n big tho :)

The fern is Borneo fern and is non-aquatic. The scientific name escapes me. Take it out and plant it in a moderately-lit, high humidity environment. It makes a lovely terrarium plant. So does the varigated plant on the left. I believe it is a type of Piliea, also non-aquatic. I don't think it is Purple waffle unless there is a deficiency of sometype that is causing the varigation on the leaves. That is entirely possible. Either way, both species are non-aquatic and will also do well as a terrarium plant or in a moderately lit window sill.

yeh i had that fern in my tank also. Took it out as soon as i realised it was non aquatic. Dont worry that you have a couple of non aquatics, i did the same. I felt like pointing it out to my LFS but i doubt it would have much effect. I actually saw a guy buying some the other day n had to keep my gob shut. They shouldnt be allowed to sell it!

i've taken them out and ive just bought new plants and the bulbs i planted are growing really fast! thats soo annoing-why on earth do they sell those plants if they are non aquatic?? ill have to have a word with them. thanks anyway:D

I said exactly the same thing when i was told! I guess its to do with ignorance, lack of knowledge and that they are cheaper than aquatics. Let us know what they say when you mention it to them. I suspect they will either claim they didnt know but still continue to sell them or try and make you feel stupid by saying they are aquatic plants

ok next time i go there ill mention it- the problem is is that they will probs claim they are aquatic-i need evedence here! haha :D
