I put the sand in 2 days ago and the live rock and damsels yesterday. The water is murky and I was wondering if that was normal and if it will settle in the next couple of days.

Thanks once again guys :good:

Looks ot me like you are usubg aragonite sugarfine sand. If so then its highly likely to be the sand causing the cloudiness. I would have suggested turning off the powerheads to allow things to settle for 24 hours but now there is livestock in there this cannot be done.

Try and keep the flow away fromthe floor of hte tank for a few days if possible.

Have patience! It takes a while for this fine sand to settle down, especially if you just added live rock and stirred things up again. It took I think a week for ours to settle completely.

What are your plans for that tank? Are you running any kind of filter? How much LR is in there?

Thanks Navarre and Jen.

Jen: I'm running the stock filter which is 2 sponges, balls, and carbon bags. I have alot of plans for this I'm mostly concentrating on corals and polyps. I want to have 5-6 fish max. I already have 2 damsels and next I'm getting my clown fish in 2 weeks. The other 3 will be a cardinal, angelfish, and a sweetlips. During the 3rd week of June I'm going to order my clean-up crew and poly package from liveaquaria! I'm so excited.
