ok here is my tank before i added the rocks and background...

here it is with just rocks added..

and here is the garbage bag background!

I'm most likely going to get a real background from the lfs to make the tank look more "full"

oh, I wouldn't muck it up with one of those busy picture-background things! I love the black... and it will really do a great job showing off your fish!

Huge improvement! I never thought of a garbage bag I have plain blue wrapping paper on the back my small tank right now, thinking maybe I will change it out for the bag. Thanks for the idea.

Its best to install the heater at a 30 - 45 degree angle from the horizontal with the heating element at the lowest point. Make sure the glass tube doesn't touch the substrate. You could install it vertically but this may cause temperature setting problems.

looks really good, stick to the plain background, looks loads betetr than busy picture ones IMO
