:hyper: I've been around here in the Anabantoid forum for awhile.
I've also interested in African cichlid, especially Tanganyikans.

This is my 60" 20" 20" tank that I prepared for keeping Tanganyikan cichlids.

The first group I introduced to my tank is a small school
of 10 Cyph.gibberosa 'Samazi Blue'

And due to the worse Mega-flood that has hit Bangkok City since last month.
A good friend of mine has to leave some of his Tanganyikan cichlids to me for awhile.
They a a group of wild-caught White & Black Calvus.

Wow, some really stunning beautiful fish there, thanks for sharing!

Absolutely in awe of of tank and it's habitants. You have done a fantastic job, you must be extremely proud!

Fantastic fish and tank,
I am sure you are familiar with Bung Sam Ran
fishing park in the Bangkappi district of Bangkok,
I have Fished there many times and would like to know if it escaped the Floods,
You wouldn't want the fish in there to escape,
they are worth a fortune.

Wow that is a very nice tank and the fish are gorgeous. You can see that lots of time and love has gone into it all.

Cheers, Sean

 Thanks guys! Really appreciated your warm welcomes.

I'ld like to show how I set up my Tanganyika tank.

Here what I did.

I decided to use an old fashion "Under gravel filter" but combine something different
as my own experiment! I put a 'Matala' filter media, normally use in my Koi pond filter chamber, line to the bottom of the tank.

I would like to make a semi-standing water chamber as a house for "Denitrifying bacteria" to reduce the Nitrate, as in marine tank technic I've seen.

Because I had to decorate the tank with some huge natural rocks, so they need a kind of base at the corner to disperse the biggest rock's weight.

I put the 1500 l/h powerhead for the good flow rate at a corner.

I use coarse coral gravel that could be obtained legally for marine tank here as the biological substrae to maintain the proper pH and hardness of water for my Tanganyikans.

The Rock work! :grr: Just realized, to make Tanganyika's view, I need a lot of imagination and it's a real hard work!

Due to a large number of my friend's 20 Calvas, I have to add an old canister filter 'EHEIM' 2217 to purify the water, too.
