Hi I'm posting this on my mum's behalf as it's her aquarium really, I don't know much myself, but I'm still curious to find some answers. We've had 2 siamese fighters ,a blue & a red, who haven't lasted very long (not in at the same time).

Now they seem to be really healthy, no injuries, feeding, and then all of a sudden the next day they've snuffed it. They're my favourite type so far, I think they're beautiful. RIP Ghost & Spectre.

I'd really like to stop them from...snuffing it! Any ideas why this could be happening? The first male (Ghost)had two mates but they went belly-up before he did.

One thing is we have a mirror in the tank, Spectre didn't like that very much so possibly could that have stressed him out? But Ghost never paid attention to it. They never fought it however.

The other fish we have in the tank are-
guppies
neons
gouramis
platys
glass catfish
danios

My mum has tested the water & PH levels, ammonia levels, etc are all fine.

Any advice is greatly appreciated :hyper:

I have never kept these fish so cant comment on your problem

however I can sympathise with you on fish dying. It is a horrible experience, and I wanted to say sorry for your loss. they are beautiful fish.

hope someone is along soon to give you some useful advice and I wish you luck with future fish

I was under the impression that bettas and gouramis in a tank isn't a good thing since they often end up fighting. You didn't say how they looked when they died, but this would be something to keep in mind in the future. Sorry that they died though, it sucks when that happens and it's even worse when you don't know why.

Well this is the puzzling thing because they haven't fought with any of the others or eaten them. Their bodies were unscathed which is why I'm trying to understand why it's happening. <scratches head> so unfair!!!
