Hi all

I was just wondering which substrate is best for a shrimp tank? I was thinking sand, but would prefer gravel for ease of cleaning (although I'm not 100% on the messyness of shrimp alone).

Gonna try a bit of proper aquascaping with this tank... just need to source quite a bit of java moss ^^

Any substrate will be ok.

I find sand easier as less stuff gets stuck down it than gravel.

However, shrimp are really messy little things.

I was thinking about black sand (looking at getting cherries), so I might look into that :) I just dont want to slip and end up vacuuming up the sand when I clean up
