My shiny new tank

Hey ppl, im new here so i want to say hi.
This is my new tank, its a juwel trigon 190. only had it up and running about a week. i had 2 big tanks before that but they were taking up too much space, so i decided to go for a nice corner one.
The picture quality aint too good, had to take it with my phone as my digi camera is ng (btw you can actually get quite an electric shock if you dismantle a digi camera, as i painfully found out tonight!)
Oh and some people may notice the comet and the fantail swimming in there. they were the only fish lef tin one of my big tanks, so they bunking with the trops til the good weather comes and then they going to meet the pond fish.

im open to any comments/crticism on what i might have done wrong or can improve on

to be honest, if you had asked me that question a year ago i could have told you, but i didnt have much to do with them for a while so they became "the nice coloured fish in my tank". so, ill try and name them anyway
i got 2 elephant nosed fish, 2 clown loaches, a few guppies, 3 leapoard cats, what i think is some sort of mollie, (but i dont remember buying it!) 2 plecs, a siamese fighter, although hes not doing too well, 2 of those yellow fellas, 3 other african ones with spiky tails (only bought one yesterday and can i for the life of me remember its name).... oh yeh and the 2 coldwater ones

im open to any comments/crticism on what i might have done wrong or can improve on

the only comment/critism i can come up with is to maybe get the fighter his own 1 gallon bowl/tank he doesnt stand a chance in there if the other fish decide they want to pick on him

I agree, I would get the betta something like a 1-5 gallon bowl. It is such a big tank and if you have a strong current it could mess with it's long fins. Mine had a hard time in a 10 gallon with a 10 gallon filter, so now he is in his own 1.5 gallon bowl and will soon be moved to his own 5 gallon after his finrot cures.

You can buy one of thise kritter keeper things I think for like $5 so it isn't that expensive.

Goldfish's slimecoats are toxic to most tropical fish so I would move them out as soon as possible. How long until the weather warms up?

wont be too long before the weather warms up, in fact looking at the weather today i would say its closer than i thought. as for the beta, yeh thats why he aint doing so good. didnt settle in well at all. got picked on a lot, although since the first day he has been left alone. the current isnt too strong in there actually, ive been watching him today and he seems to have found his own section of the tank and seems quite content.
Ill be watching him closely though

one question, ive read a few times that people kep betas in a small fish bowl/tank. do you filter these, or just rely on water changes?

I like your decor in there and those yellow labs stick out a mile....great colours!!

I would say you can add the goldfish to the pond now, I introduced 3 new small koi to my pond yesterday.

just make sure the acclimatising takes a long time. I suggest using a large bowl to float them in your pond so it will keep it's heat longer and slowly bring your goldfish back down to coldwater temps.

I think most people rely on 100% water changes for Bettas by doing them twice a week.

The goldfish are sat outside as we speak. im not sure if the fantail will make it though, as his fins broke up a bit when he went into the new tank, and i fear the sudden move may be too much for him. im gonna take it slowly with him, but although my pond is looking worse for wear at the minute, the water conditions are good, i havent lost a fish in there for 2 years now (which is good for me as im a serial fish killer)
im curious though, my old tanks were psoitioned near a radiator, anyone know if this is what could have caused problems with my old setup? i seemed to have trouble with my trops since i moved it there. the thermometer enver really seemed to fluctuate, but i wasnt convinced

ah and another question about the betta, are they ok at room temp? and i take it a water change is just normal dechlorinated water?
