Ok, below are a couple of pictures. It seems to me like the blennys stomach is kinda sucked in, like it hasnt been eating enough. But that doesnt make sense to me. everytime i look at the tank the blenny is around munching on things. it also eats bloodworms when i feed the other fish.

It is a really active fish and has been since day 1. it's always swimming all around, and still is. lately it's been flicking at the sand, (just like the cichlids always used to do). it doesnt look like it has ich or anything like that. or maybe it's always been looking like this and i havent noticed it until now. but i'm kinda worried about it. does any of this or any of the pictures look like any parasites, or something bad? if so what can i do to reverse this process and make it better?

i did put in 6 red leg hermits, and 2 nassarius snails, but there is about 45lbs of live rock in my 29g, so that should mean plenty of food for it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

You know how a cow has to eat a ton of grass to keep running, where we can eat a small plate of fish and chips... same deal with a bleeny, its an algae eater. As you have found out they will eat meat when available, and in captivity sometimes that is the best option (for the system for sure).

I'm not sure blood worms are getting your SW fish the proper food. PE mysis are the staple in the states (touted as the most nutrients by most large aquarium curators). Golden/frozen (Formula 2) algae cubes go over well with them too.

rods food hands down.... Premium aquatics and now marine depot sells it, its getting more and more popular, has more variety than just mysis, and probably contains more omega-3 than mysis.
