Tonight I was watching the rock and it opened out a bit, and then it closed, its like the hole end peice of the live rock is opening and closing.

It opened up a quite a lot, well more than it has before then it spurted out some white liquid and closed!

Never seen it move this much before usually just notice that it looks different from usual.

Anyway I have tried my hardest to take a good close up pic but as it is near the back of the tank it is hard to get focus.

I have surrounded the part that opens in red, and where the arrow is, this is where it spurted the stuff out, it looks to be red inside.

Madness Ive never seen anything like it.

Also found lots of feather duster starting to come out over the past few days its sooo exciting!!

Anyway here is the pic, best I can get sorry.

It'll be a well camoflaged Clam!

Very expensive normally - they to need a bit more care and better lighting that bost invers though

(i've been reading :D)

Some sort of bi valve. I have a few in my tank (small ones) They are not like the clams we purchase for ornatmental value. These are not light dependant and will live happily out of direct light (or so i have found). There is no fleshy mantle so it doesnt seemto need light IMO. Nice find. ;)

That looks exactly like mine did. Are you still cycling? If so, it probably won't survive sorry to say.
