Hi everyone

I'm not new to fish keeping - i've kept tropical fish (a lot of varieties of species over the years!) for approx 10 years now. I've currently got a 225L tank with a couple of large bala sharks, 2 large silver dollars, a fully-grown angelfish and small common plec (replacement for my very old and large plec who sadly died earlier this year). And yes, I agree... that is quite a mixture - something i'm now looking to sort out.

I had my little boy 2 years ago and my interest in fish keeping took a dive. During this time my husband (a newbie in the fish-keeping world) took over for a bit and did his best! He did quite a good job actually, although I now have a strange mixture of fish.

I'm now getting right back into the fish keeping and have decided to completely re-design the tank which is looking quite sorry for itself at the moment. I particularly the silver dollars and ideally would like to have a species-only tank full of them.

I've been looking on here at the photo section trying to get some inspiration re the design aspect. Looking at simplifying the look now... so any of you who have simple clear tanks i'd be grateful for your pics!

Hi there :) Great to see you on here. I know what you mean about mix-match tanks! My dad was in charge of the 100l and now I've ended up with all sorts in there hahaa :p

Welcome back to the hobby! And Good morning. I have a hodge podge in one of my tanks too. That's what I get for rehoming everyone's leftovers!
