hey hey hey! well as the topic sed these are my readings :

AMMONIA: 4.0
NITRITE : 0 PPM
NITRATE : 0 PPM
pH : 7.0

MMMM im doing 25% water changes everyday, and today the ammonia started to slow down..... i dont get why i have the ammonia THAT high, maybe is over feeding cuz theres NO overstock in my tank , but i dont trully kno if its over feedin :S or they poop too much  but im doing the water changes everyday and by the way it started with the cloudy thing again so i guess is a bacteria bloom isnt it? and what about my ammonia? should i buy somethin to get rid of it? im using stress coat and ammo-lock and tomorro i have to put the stress zyme again
....any suggestion? cuz im not sure to what to do, except for the water changes and stress coat

thank you guys for your time!

p.s my irish neighbors are listenin to their gaita music :) its really cool i can listen to that and they're are a block away from me :p (dont ask why i put that, just felt like tellin u :D  )

How old is this tank? It might be cycling. Also, do you use tap water? If so it may have high ammonia levels in it. Chlorine and Chloramine both break down into ammonia FYI and the AmmoLock will detoxify the ammonia but it won't get rid of it. The white cloudiness is also an bacterial bloom so that might help cut your ammonia down once it's cycled.

my tank is one month old if i remember correctly, but i did a 90% water change a week and a half ago becuz it was dirty with food rest on the bottom, and the water you couldnt see a thing, not even the fishes :S! :( so i did that and now its working perfectly :) thanx Teelie :)

if anyone has anything to comment on this feel free!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

It sounds like you're going through a minicycle. The next time you do a water change, don't do more than 50% at a time either. If you have to, do several 50% changes over the course of a week with at least 3 days between them until the water is cleared up.

Why are you adding all that stuff? Stop with the ammo-lock, simple water changes will deal with it and not give you a false reading...
How's the fish doing with all this? Hope their doing fine. :D

Your tank is still cycling. Stop with the ammo lock but continue daily water changes. Also reduce your feeding to every other day.

yeah i did stop with the ammo-lock .... like 4 days ago , but i put it on the list to let y'all kno what i used and what i did not, also my fishies are in great conditions, they are doing reeeeally good, guess what? they even swim in the bottom of the tank! its kinda questionable becuz these ones that i got usually were swimmin only in the top of it! so i think they are really really good :) or is it bad? also one of my male gupps had his fin nipped (nipped right?) and with this thingy stress coat is growing back! :D im so happppppppy :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

well thnx guys for lettin me kno all that :) i will reduce the feeding, once per day is ok? and i difenetly wont stop the water changes :)

thanx again for your patientence and time!:D

with your ammo levels that high I'd suggest minimal feeding every other day. don't worry your fish won't starve at that rate. Maybe on the weekend you could feed every day but def try to stick to every other day till the ammo spike is gone.

Properly fed and cared for fish can go months without feeding though it's not something I suggest. I'd say no more than a week of none feeding then only feed them half what you usually would. You don't want them to fast then gorge on food.
