Well I havent posted in the pet forum yet, so I figured I share my two dogs.

about 6 months ago we moved to the UK from the States, and couldnt believe how expensive it was to fly our dogs over here with us. We just couldnt afford it. We were completely gutted, but were happy to have both grandparents volunteer to keep them for the couple years we will be residing here.

ok on to the pics.

Charlie is an American Fox Hound. Hes awesome with my children, my daughter Elisabeth went thru her first couple years of life with Charlie, so hes been pulled on and sat on and everything else a toddler does to a pup, and he never batted an eye.

We miss them everyday, and my now almost 3 year old daughter prays for them everynight, mentioning that "she misses them very much" They are both doing great, but I cant wait to get back to having some dogs in the house again. My newest daughter (3 month old) hasnt even met them at all! I dont like seeing kids afraid of dogs, and cant wait to get her around my pups so she can learn how awesome dogs are!

Thanks for looking, you guys have some awesome pets in here!

It was between pic 2 and pic 7, which I thought was just adorable. But maybe there's not supposed to be people in the shot? Anyway, they look like great dogs! I wouldn't be happy without my girls.

thanks guys, ill send the pic over.

you know, you dont quite realize how much you are attached to them untill they are gone. The first couple weeks were really hard, youre just so used to hearing them walk around on the hardwood floors, and the greeting you get when you come home. I would go to the back door to let them in, without thinking, and get halfway there before id remember they were no longer there. :( Charlie was a stray that the pound had picked up. He had a slight aggression issue, and one could tell he had fought his way thru the streets of Wash. DC, by his various scars. He had been adopted once, but the people couldnt handle him, and his high energy lvl's i guess. So they had returned him. We got charlie originally to be a guard dog and companion for my pregnant wife while I deployed to Afghanistan. he was both and more, and we quickly fell in love with him.

He was a bit of work in the beginning, but he became one of the best behaved dogs I know. Im very strict with my dogs, as I feel they are the ONE aspect of my life I can control completely. Isabelle was a later addition, and she was a shy young dog when we got her. She steered clear of my toddler cuz she knew we would be on her like a hawk if she made any sudden moves. She's one of the neediest dogs ive owned, and will get right up in your lap to cuddle, if u let her.

I hope they remember us in a couple years when we move back to the states
