puffers change colours when they sleep and depending on the time of day and their mood. I wouldnt worryunless his colour darkens for extended periods....

can i breed puffers if so what conditions i have a small tank 18x10x10

i have no living or plastic plants and i have small gravel

Don't bother breeding them, if you red the post by TorPeteO, you will find out more, also, do you have a scientific name. It also sounds like you bought on impulse, never do that, always research them first.

Arew they in a tank of their own, if not, take them back to your lfs until you have a tank. Then get a tank and cycle it properly. If you don't want to have brackish water, go for dwarf puffers, and if you would like to try, you could go for Green Spotted Puffers, or Figure Eights or something. Just make sure you research.

I'm sorry if you did.

Yes indeed. Here's one of our puffers..

Stressed after water changes & clean-outs..

And later, de-stressed and his relaxed colouration.

It changes with their mood, I don't think it is anything to be seriously worried about Good Luck!
