Starting again
Thanks to everyone that has helped me to chose my puffs and help me prepare with their diets and tanks over the last year, I thought I would update to show how they are doing It has taken me a while to find the puffs for me but we are there!
First up is Calcifer my Abei - He is a funny chap and likes to croak first thing when he wakes up, for food and when I first turn the lights out. He also lately has decided to puff up on occasion for attention (namely when my partner sits at the computer and doesnt say hello ) He eats a variety though lately again has gotten picky when feeding, if he doesnt snatch it at the top, it doesnt exist anymore and I have to go in with the tongs to retrieve and try again sigh..
Here he is when first got him:
He he is lately:
Next up is Nooki my fahaka, I never thought I would end up with a giant puffer species and well..a bargain tank came up and here he is! He is pretty docile at the moment and attempting him with Odessa Barbs and Neons. He ate an Odessa and seemed to regret it, hasnt eaten one since though there is the future. He literally will eat anything and gets pretty sulky on his off days, I think Im going to have trouble spreading his feeds out further as he grows. He has never buried that I have witnessed or puffed. He likes to press his lips on the glass to tempt me if I havent fed him Lately notcing a "teenager" phase and likes to inspect the back wall of the tank intensely until one of us comes over.
When I first got him:
Here is my healthier looking boy now:
Here is crab carnage:

Third up is Fitzgig my Bailyei. I did buy a "pair" as they were a steal and relative hope that it might work and for a week it did. But currently uploading a video to show what aggressive behaviour can happen. Gizmo went back to the store (which the manager told me then went to his own home) after she lifted Fitzgig clear out the tank into the lid  Gizmo was blowing up on a daily basis but never seen Fitzgig. Fitzgig is doing well and I have tricked him into eating cockle on shell though his face of shock and disgusted mouth movements was excellent to see. He seems to have trained to eating out of the tongs and begs if sees me with them in hand. He has quiet moments, but surprised by the level of activity.
Here is a good hairy shot of his cirri, he seems ful grown at 5-6"
Here is the aggression caught on camera:

Last puff to come. Will be a miurus puffer. He is due this Saturday. I was hoping for one of the redder morphs but after much trouble trying to find one (understandable). I think he is a sandy coloured one so have tried to get substrate to match and await his arrival eagerly. I am thinking of naming him Henry after the late departure of the family pet thought obviously something more "fitting" may spring to mind when I see him. I will be sure to upload pics of him as he arrives and settles in.
My next plans? No more tanks and no more puffs! I plan to at least for Nookis and Calcifers tanks get more decoration and have a move around for them. Nooki I dont wish him to grow bored so plan taller live plants and move of his favourite root. Calcifer's live plant tank has wanned recently and have ordered new stock and fert. I will have to move him to a bucket while working quickly so not looking forward to stressing my little man. I would do it with him in the tank but he flips and bites and think there would be much debris.
P.s. Uploading pics as we speak of hairy puffer aggression and Nooki feeding on a crab
