yes it will heal. keep your water quality good and if you want to you could always add some melafix

my female lost half its tail. I think it was htrough breeding but unsure on a 100% answer yet. But my females tail grew back really fast. Also she didnt get all her colours back in the tail so bare this in mind

as long as the damage is to the tail it will grow back, how ever if it get's to the base of the fin and into the body slightly, that part will not grow back.
